Ala Amoachi cares about her immigrant clients, and she goes above and beyond to ensure that her clients receive high quality, effective representation.
Her passion for immigration is inspired by her personal history as an immigrant who came to the United States at the age of eight and was granted asylum after spending most of her childhood in removal proceedings. She recognizes that the antidote to the fear and anxiety of the immigration process is the power of knowledge and keeps her clients informed, prepared and empowered throughout the process.

She dreamed of being an immigration attorney and was part of Hofstra’s Political Asylum and Practicum. She now has 11 years of experience in immigration law, handling a variety of matters that include political asylum, special immigrant juvenile status, cancellation of removal, family based, U visas, VAWA, NACARA, and much more. She is fluent in Spanish.
She uses a sensitive, trauma informed approach with her political asylum cases and cases involving children and prides herself on being an ally to her clients in their journey to bring their unique story before an immigration officer or judge.
