Ala Amoachi, Esq.

Ala Amoachi cares about her immigrant clients, and she goes above and beyond to ensure that her clients receive high quality, effective representation.
 
Her passion for immigration is inspired by her personal history as an immigrant who came to the United States at the age of eight and was granted asylum after spending most of her childhood in removal proceedings.  She recognizes that the antidote to the fear and anxiety of the immigration process is the power of knowledge and keeps her clients informed, prepared and empowered throughout the process.
 
Ms. Amoachi obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice in 2006.  She graduated Hofstra Law School in 2009 with a concentration in International Law.  She dreamed of being an immigration attorney and was part of Hofstra’s Political Asylum and Practicum.  She now has 11 years of experience in immigration law, handling a variety of matters that include political asylum, special immigrant juvenile status, cancellation of removal, family based, U visas, VAWA, NACARA, and much more.  She is fluent in Spanish.
 
She uses a sensitive, trauma informed approach with her political asylum cases and cases involving children and prides herself on being an ally to her clients in their journey to bring their unique story before an immigration officer or judge.  Ms. Amoachi carries out her profession with a high level of compassion, ethics and honesty​

Sehaam N. Hassan

 Sehaam N. Hassan obtained her Juris Doctorate from Hofstra Law where she was enrolled in multiple clinics, including Asylum and Youth Advocacy Clinic. It was there that she discovered her interest in helping immigrants and asylum seekers. Being the voice for individuals who suffered persecution and oppression became part of Sehaam's priorities as an attorney.

Sehaam’s other experience includes representing clients as a staff attorney with the Suffolk County Legal Aid - criminal bureau, as well as serving as an Asylum Officer with the Department of Homeland Security for three and a half years where she interviewed Asylum seekers and adjudicated their applications.

Born and raised in New York, first generation American, Sehaam comes from a Pakistani background. Having been raised in an immigrant family, Sehaam values the struggles that so many individuals have gone through to gain a legal pathway in the United States. She hopes to
continue advocating for and representing immigrants throughout Long Island.

Alyssa McPike, Esq.

Alyssa McPike received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from North Carolina State University in 2017. She received her Juris Doctorate from Campbell University School of Law in 2022. During law school, she interned at the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants, where she assisted in a variety of matters such as political asylum, U visas, and Afghan humanitarian parole.

As a Filipino American and child of an immigrant, she has a relentless passion for defending human rights, and dedicates herself to advocating for clients throughout the complex immigration process.

Brian E. Shulman, Esq.

Prior to joining the Law Offices of Ala Amoachi & Associates, PC, Brian E. Shulman, Esq. served as Of Counsel to a leading immigration firm in New York City, where he honed his skills in advocating for clients from diverse backgrounds and circumstances.

With a deep commitment to serving individuals facing immigration challenges, Mr. Shulman has represented clients from across the globe, including vulnerable populations such as children and those fleeing persecution in their home countries. His unwavering dedication to each client's case ensures that they receive personalized attention and steadfast advocacy every step of the way.
